The movie theatre of the future is opening soon in Wesley Chapel.
An outdoor miniature golf course and spin bikes in front of a movie screen are coming to the cinema at the Grove at Wesley Chapel this fall, according to a release.
Fully reclining seats in some theaters, a supervised kids’ playroom, a sushi bar and high-end restaurant, and a full arcade are just some of the additional offerings on tap for the Cinema & Entertainment Complex at the Grove, making it a movie-going experience unlike any other.
I’m more than ready to eat popcorn (mixed with M&Ms) while doing a spin class and watching a film.
Mishorim Gold Properties and developer Mark Gold are investing millions of dollars into the renovation of what was once a Cobb Theater and Cinebistro.
With pandemic safety at the forefront, the Cinema & Entertainment Complex will include sanitation technology like fogging machines and automated thermal temperature scan swing gates at the entrance.
“When you step foot inside the complex, you will be able to enjoy everything we have to offer without worrying about your safety,” Gold said. “It will be much safer than going to the grocery store.”
In addition to the focus on sanitation and safety, the 85,000 square-foot building is undergoing a complete renovation with an open-concept lobby, updated dining space, all new color scheme, new floors, décor, and light fixtures. The modern feel matches its unique offerings, which include:
MGold has hired a management company to run the movie theater. The cinema project is just one segment of a reimagined Grove. MGold is spending $110 million to turn the Grove into the community’s downtown, which will also include a container park and a water park.
The container park, a new concept of container buildings, features affordable office space for businesses. It is set to open in the fall with 50 restaurants and retail shops and feature live entertainment.
The Wesley Chapel area is one of the fastest growing and affluent locations in the United States with more than 12,000 residential units in development in close proximity to the center. Since purchasing the Grove last year, MGold has signed on 73 news tenants.
