CLARK, NJ — L'Oreal has donated a decontamination system to Clark's first responders to use to sanitize their equipment amid the coronavirus.
Clark Fire Chief Frank Cerasa purchased three sets of the decontamination equipment with one set to be used by the Fire Department, one set for the Volunteer Emergency service and Emergency Management, and on set for the Police Department and the Department of Public Works.
"This important equipment allows us to de-con the bays, personnel protective equipment, the apparatus and vehicles. It's a regular backpack blower with an electric mister and fogger attachment. We purchased two five gallons pales of disinfectant and sanitizer for each fogger system. These units were put into service this week and are working very well. It gives us peace of mind that our equipment is being properly cleaned," Clark Fire Chief Frank Cerasa said.
L'Oreal covered the cost for all three sets.
"We at L’Oreal feel a responsibility to give back to the Communities in which we live and work," said Stephan Habif, Senior Vice President of L’Oreal R&I Americas Zones. "It is our hope that, through this donation, we are able to provide some much needed supplies to our local First Responders working on the front lines during this challenging time."
The Township Administration also contracts with Serv Pro to clean and wipe down the interiors of our buildings. The members certainly appreciate their efforts to help keep us safe.
