RALEIGH, N.D. — A 35-year-old Fargo motorcyclist was killed near here when he struck a crop-spraying vehicle from behind around 6:16 p.m. Saturday, May 28.

The Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling southbound on Highway 31 near mile marker 25 when an Apache crop sprayer in front of him turned left onto 77th Street Southwest. The motorcycle struck the crop sprayer from behind, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist, Brandon Cermak, was not wearing a helmet, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol. He was taken to a Bismarck hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The 41-year-old female driver of the crop sprayer, Jacalyn Hartman, was not injured in the crash. She is from Raleigh, an hour southwest of Bismarck.
